The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, on every page of plugwheel.com.
What we’ve done
- Text and controls meet AA contrast. Every color pair in the design system is checked, in light and dark areas of the page.
- Every page works with a keyboard, shows where focus is and starts with a link that skips straight to the content.
- Each page has one main heading, and headings follow in order.
- Images are described. Illustrations of a system are described as a whole, including the sample data they show.
- Motion follows your system setting. With reduced motion on, nothing slides, scrubs or animates on scroll.
What isn’t right yet
A page that doesn’t exist shows its message only once JavaScript has loaded. With scripts off, the page is blank, although it still returns the right error to your browser.
The site hasn’t been audited by an outside specialist yet. This statement comes from our own testing.
Tell us about a problem
Email hello@plugwheel.com with the page and what went wrong. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and fix them.
